Working Memory is the part of memory that requires you to hold information 'online' for seconds to minutes so that you can use it to achieve things in real time. For example, we use working memory to remember and then dial a phone number that someone just told us. Typically we can hold 5 to 9 pieces of information online at a time. In Memory Frog, the child must follow a visual sequence of illuminated frogs and repeat it back by clicking on the frogs in the same order. As the sequences get longer, your child may develop strategies for holding this information 'online'. Improvements from brain training are able to translate into the many everyday tasks that working memory is used for.
