My students have made voice recordings using iPads. We cannot figure out how to save the recording to the Camera Roll so they can submit the assignment to Edmodo. Can anyone help us. The name of the app on our iPads is Recorder Plus
    • Mr. Wallace - I have used the email feature associated with the Camera Roll to send files to myself, then I upload to the Edmodo library. Certainly there could be a better way but this is what works for me for now.

      • Chris Fry - We use the ipadio and audioboo apps to record ourselves in my English as a Foreign language class. Both of these apps store the recordings on the internet, so you need wifi sooner or later. Each student then has a page and RSS feeds from these pages could be used to feed into Edmodo.
Sadly, the RSS feeds just provide a link. I wish they embedded in Edmodo!
It isn't hard to copy the embed codes for each recording and add them to a link in a message and then they do embed and are easy to listen to and write comments on below.
        Personally, I don't do exactly

      • Mrs. Jarman - Some apps on the iPad require a password and I was told that "no one" knows the password to our school owned iPads. Some students just sent me the email which is fine but my own Professional Development Plan was to incorporate the use of Edmodo and Vokis more in my class. Some of my students could send me their recordings using their phones.
I thank all of you for your help and suggestions. I will continue to work on these as the semester progresses.

      • Mrs. Rand - The new update has made many of the features like the reactions harder to see...I like getting that feedback but would like it to be more obvious with a change in color/scheme.

Here is a great new tool I have tried called LiveSlide. You can go and verify as an educator and get a free elite account. Go to the top right at: https://atlaslearning.net and sign up. I also put a video overview of the features in the link to see what it does.

It can be very difficult to make math quizzes on Edmodo since you must use Latex, I recently paid for an app that will change equations and such into latex and export it to Edmodo, but I still cannot make a quiz on the app. When will this change?

We are a BYOT pilot for our school system and I am currently researching the edmodo app in google play and apple forms. I would like for students to have access to the EDMODO APPS I have loaded. In the Google play version I currently cannot find access to the apps and in the Apple version the apps do not refresh or show up. Can any of you speak to this issue?

I'm in charge of a short (like 10 minute) best practices session. I've decided to highlight some top websites or apps that most teachers aren't using - or haven't heard of. What are your favorites? I've already presented on edmodo so I can't use that one again.
