I have a paid subscription to InstaGrok Classroom and it has not connected to Edmodo since last week. I am extremely frustrated as I have assigned something to my students. It keeps saying that the action has timed out, and Internet Explorer, nor Chrome, can connect. Please advise. Thank you.

Hi Angela! I'm sorry to hear about your trouble. Something seems to be wrong with Edmodo integration. We are looking into this issue.

So now Instagrok is working, but none of the students can submit the assignment. Please advise. This is frustrating.

Hello, I have another question. If my students access instaGrok via Edmodo are they still able to submit their journal via email? The safety measures are still in place? The instaGrok quizzes that followed are still scored? Will the results be available through Edmodo too, or I have to log into instaGrok to see results? Thanks!

Hi Mr Brawner! They can submit via email by copying and pasting their journal in to their email, but the preferred way is to use the Submit Assignment button, so that the results show up in your Edmodo teacher dashboard. Yes the safety measures are still in place (i.e. profanity filter). The quizzes are still scored - to see them you have to log in to instaGrok through your Edmodo account. Please let me know if anything is still unclear. You can also email us at info@instagrok.com

Hello, I use instaGrok and Edmodo faithfully, independently. What are the benefits to getting instaGrok Classroom through Edmodo instead of as a standalone? I'm guessing one would be students can access instaGrok via Edmodo and not have to leave the Edmodo site? Please advise. Thanks a ton!

Ok, one more. So, using instaGrok through Edmodo, I would not need my direct access to instaGrok anymore?

I have just purchased Insta grok through Edmodo, I have watched several video's on how to "pin items", the last video I watched was at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fet0fdV_sNc at 4:23 the "teacher" showed a pinned item showing up on the journal page, I can not do that if I sign in as a teacher or student. As a student pinned items do not show up on the right hand side, it remains blank. Am I missing something? I love the idea of instagrok connecting topics, but how do students place items from their grok to their journal?

Hi Mrs Hardy! Thanks for contacting us. So you're saying that when you pin items to your grok, and then go over to the Journal tab - there is nothing on the right side?
Which web browser are you using? You can email me directly at kirill@instagrok.com

      Thanks,

Hello! Some of my students are having trouble loading and using Insta-grok on their Edmodo accounts at home. Are there any tricks or tips I can suggest for them?

Hi Ms France-Kelly! Could you please give a bit more detail? What kind of issues are your students seeing? And does it only happen at home, not at school? You can email me at kirill@instagrok.com

      Thanks!

I just got my instagrok classroom subscription on line. How do I now interface with my edmodo account?

      InstaGrok said Jul 21, 2014

Hi Mr Bennett! Unfortunately, the two apps: instaGrok.com and the Edmodo app have different user logins, and are not compatible. You need to install the instaGrok app from Edmodo app store.
      Thanks,
      Kirill

Hi Mrs Hughes - we just fixed the issue - your students should now be able to see the bibliography. Are there other issues you are experiencing?

Presenting InstaGrok to a group of teachers next week. However, when I log in as a student to use the app, it shows me my history, allows me to enter a topic to search, but when I hit enter and it is "grokking" nothing happens once the bar is filled. Please help!

Are you sure you want to remove the following Group?
