US teachers and others teachers from around the world. I need a BIG favour. Vote here for my maths website to make the Khan Academy but for the UK. I need you votes in the next 4 hours to help me get funding from Richard Branson. Here is my pitch and where you can vote. Please teachers - help another teacher out. It takes seconds and it aimed at helping kids. Any votes you could get in the next 4 hours would be AMAZING. Please spare the time

My US friends. Please spare 30 secs to vote for a teacher in the Richard Branson UK compeition

It's a website I have built to teach and assess maths for free to level the playing field in the UK with access to world class quality maths instruction. It's release date is September. Why bother and why do we need this if we have Khan. Khan is for K-12 and not for the UK system but also I am a full time teacher and believe I have made something designed by a teacher who deeply understand how children learn (Khan is still my hero :-). Please spare 30 secs to vote for a UK colleague and help me make my dream come true. Watch my pitch and google Colin Hegarty maths teacher to check on my credentials. Best regards and thanks so so much. Colin

I'm so sorry to trouble everyone. I don't like to do this. There is a competition in the UK for start-ups by Richard Branson. Im in the last 10 out of 2500 start-ups for my website coming in Sept that will teach pupils maths for free. I want to level the playing field in the UK for access to the highest quality maths support at home. I'm the only start-up in the competition and am still a teacher. I'd be so grateful for a vote here - it's all down to the public vote,

I am currently taking classes to pursue my masters in technology education. We were asked to come up with a research topic and share it with a professional learning network. My research topic is the use of iPads in the classroom. If some of you wouldn’t mind sharing how you use iPads in your classroom that would help me out a lot!! Thanks.
    • Mrs. Baker - I use them as QR readers for practice problem scavenger hunts, having students take online tests, accessing the online textbook, remediation practice via IXL.com, creating concept digital portfolios, and using Educreations to create podcasts of lessons and concepts. In other words, I use them for collaborative practice, formative and summative assessment, and differentiation.

Good day to all! Anyone who knows a software or app where I can manipulate strips of paper or cutouts? I'll be teaching the concept of Interior and Exterior angles or a triangle. If you have any suggestions on how I'll go about it, I would gladly hear it from you. Thanks everyone!

In our school we need to create extensive library - on line resources to be of high quality.
Can some help me in getting General sites such as Questia, Brittanica, maybe there are others specific to subjects but I would prefer general sites.
    Thank you.
