    Hi,

Is it possible to just add a Learnzillion video to my edmodo feed without having to use the app?

    Thank you
    • Mrs. Welte - I do it all the time just copy the URL and paste it as link in the attachments

      • Mar 30, 2014
    • Mr. Milner - Thanks for replying! I've tried that but it takes me to the website. Is there a way to make it play within edmodo?

      • Mar 30, 2014
    • Mrs. Welte - not sure Haven't tried that

Learnzillion has worked without any problems all year. Suddenly, my students are getting a pop up that requires a login and it freezes up their iPads. I love Learnzillion and this is a big problem What is going on? I wonder if it has to do with the App for Learnzillion? I usually provide a link in my Edmodo assignments.
    • LearnZillion - Hi Mrs. Raden. Sorry to hear you are having issues, send us an email at support@learnzillion.com and we can help you sort it out. We want to make the experience for you and your students as easy as possible! :)

I have added a new student to my edomodo class. How do I add her to my learnzillion linked class so that she can enter LearnZillionthrough her edmodo account, but ALSO have an account name and password in LearnZillion? I'd like her to be ablte to sign into learnzillion directly, without the edmodo app launcher, and view/be registered in my class for assignments.
I did this in September with all my students but can't seem to recall or locate the tutorial that I used at that time. Thanks.
    • Ms. Barnes - How did you get learnzillion student accounts to work?
(So sorry need to carefully spell check)

      • Feb 12, 2014
    • Ms. DeWan - That's my problem, I don't recall. Most who are currently enrolled use the app launcher and then have to click the security shield in the url bar to "allow unsafe script" so that learnzillion will open in a new tab directly from edmodo. However, I have two students who are getting a message that they need to input their enrollment code. I can no longer access the enrollment code in my class/student information. I don't have an enrollment code to provide them. When the students log in directly to learnzillion, the assignment doesn't appear more...

I am not able to get this initiated on my laptop. Connecting as a student on an iPad I do get the site with a connection to enter an enrollment code. I can not get the code from the home computer.
    • LearnZillion - Hi Ms. Jones. You should be able to view the enrollment code from your teacher account. Are you able to view the code from your teacher account?
This blog post can help you navigate the enrollment process. If you continue to have issues send us an email at support@learnzillion.com and we can look into your account and figure out the issue. Have a great weekend!

The DESIGN A BUTTON Contest is closed! Students from around the country made buttons that they would like to see posted on social media sites to report cyberbullying. We need you to VOTE! This is ROUND ONE of the voting and we need as many votes as possible to narrow down our choices. So PLEASE VOTE...and PLEASE REPOST this on all of your social media networks. I thank you and so do lots of students!

I can't get LearnZillion to open in Edmodo and on the website pages do not work and my classes disappear.
    • LearnZillion - Hi Karen. Sorry for the technical difficulties. We are experiencing some difficulties with the Edmodo app and are currently fixing it. Have you tried to access LearnZillion directly through http://learnzillion.com? You can get the resources available on the Edmodo app and more.
Also, what do you mean by that your class disappears? I'll see how I can help!

How do I assign quizzes to students?
    • LearnZillion - Hi Mr. Lee. Thanks for writing to us.
Here's a quick tutorial on how to assign student's content on LearnZillion (http://wp.me/p1LaUp-dV) as well as track student progress on LearnZillion (http://wp.me/p1LaUp-e7).
Currently we have quizzes for math grades 3-8. You can access them by clicking on classes in the upper righthand corner, then hovering over the menu button and then clicking assignments. From there you can click the "+assignment" button and click a quiz option. Let us know if you have any other questions!

I am excited to start using Learn Zillion with my second graders. I added the app and am starting to have my kids link through with the printed instructions for enrollment codes. My problem is that when I go to create an assignment it gives me a "Something Went Wrong" screen. It's been this way for a couple weeks at least. I've tried Chrome and IE. Any suggestions? Thanks!
    • Ms. Barnes - Oh it is awesome, however I have been waiting on my student accounts so they can do the practices.

My students can't access LZ through the edmodo app. Please help. How do I contact your support team?
    • LearnZillion - Hi Ms. Barnes. So sorry for the slow reply! My guess is that by "waiting on their passwords" you are referring to the "pending" text under your student names; you can actually directly access your student passwords and have them sign up for your accounts via this 3 minute video. http://wp.me/p1LaUp-dM Let us know if you have any other questions!

      • Mrs. Nolan - I "accidentally" set up my classes in LearnZillion through Edmodo. I added the LearnZillion app and later noticed the kids were in LearnZillion. Surprise! Now that we're trying to use LZ, we've been having problems getting everyone enrolled. We gave up going to LZ from Edmodo, and just went straight to LZ. Some kids still aren't showing as enrolled. I actually work for LZ as a DreamTeam teacher, so I emailed today and asked them for advice. I will post it here.

      • Ms. DeWan - I set up a class in LearnZillion via access codes/quick codes. I did this separate and apart from Edmodo. Later I found I could install the app and Launch from Edmodo. • Ms. Joyner - Wish I could help you with this but I am interested to see what others say because I haven't set up my student accounts in LearnZillion yet but I'm planning to do it soon. I didn't realize that they could access it through Edmodo. I love that they can do that!

If the student indicates he/she is signing in with edmodo, it asks for an enrollment code and the enrollment code to the class they have joined is no longer available in my student data . If they login using their account ID information through edmodo, it does not link them to the class in which they originally enrolled. To do so , they must log in to learnzillion directly under a different search tab. Adivce please? Any idea what I may have done incorrectly when registering the students and how I may fix it - short of deleting accounts and starting again? I found the LearnZillion student registration process more cumbersome than most other sites ;( . Thanks

    • Ms. DeWan - As of now it links them to the site and shows the add a class icon, whereas they are already in my class. The students log out and log back in using their previously generated account information and then my class appears with my assignments. So, technically, they are not entering through edmodo. Edmodo facilitates the passage, so to speak. However, it DOES appear as if they would have been given access codes and access to my class had I set them up initially through edmodo. My suggestion is that you don't set up student accounts in LearnZillion. Set up YOUR LearnZillion more...

I added your app to one of my classes, but only 4 of my 25 students automatically showed up under "students" on the app. I can add the rest by hand, but will they still be connected to their edmodo accounts if I do?

I have a situation here. :) I went ahead and registered my students (created usernames/passwords under student account) on Learn Zillion with the class name of Room 401 Eagles, but when my students access the Edmodo app of Learn Zillion, they're not able to see the Room 401 Eagles and posted assignments. Any way I can fix this debacle? Did I make an account that wasn't necessary. Thanks in advance. :)

How do I assign lessons from the app to my students? I'm trying to assign "reading info texts for grade 4". I've already downloaded the APP inside edmodo.

I'm hoping as things progress, LearnZillion will add Social Studies and Science lessons to their repertoire. I'm a Social Studies teacher, but thought if there were ELA items, I may find something useful to use in my classroom.
    • Mrs. Carlson - I've heard rumors that they plan to work to add those lessons next year. They do have thousands of ELA and math lessons about to go live very soon (days to weeks). There will be many more ELA lessons to support your instruction in the near future!
