I have question in relation to INTERACTIVE NOTEBOOKS! Do you use them? If so, how? If not you can explain why or reply "No worries" What and where are your Resources coming from? I implemented a very low-key version of one in Math this year, however am ready to amp it up-any and all feedback and suggestions welcome. 😀

    Thank you.
    • Mrs. Valladares - I LOVED mine! I am a Spanish Teacher for almost 20 years, and I don't know why I didn't do this sooner! I currently teach 9th grade. But, I could easily apply this to all grade levels. I cut my worksheets/copy requests by over 50%. Once I learned about the philosophy of left brain-right brain and the correlation to interactive notebooks, I went full speed ahead! I used a one spiral notebook with a pocket. I was able to glue in worksheets without a problem, no folding in half necessary. The tough part was when a student lost their notebook, what to do? At this more...

      • Ms. Meece - A colleague and I used them in our 7th grade ELA class. We used pieces of a Teachers Pay Teachers set. We found it to be very time consuming. The set involved a ton of coloring, cutting, and gluing. In a mid-year survey, kids actually complained and we're not enjoying them. We now use a binder. We still use teacher input and student input, but we have left the foldable and all that behind.

Is there a way for students to share Boards with each other so that they can collaborate on them while signed in through their own accounts?
    • Mary Marshall - Not at this time, but they are working on it!

      • May 1, 2015
    • Mrs. Ernstberger - Try Padlet.com-it's a wall that students can post on and collaborate together, while you monitor progress. They don't need to set up an account, but you can give them access to the 'wall' by giving them a password.
