In preparing for my new position next year as an Instructional Facilitator for primary school, I have been thinking about teacher reflection and how that is not only necessary but how it can help transform the community of teaching when educators are willing and able to share their thoughts and learning openly during PLT meetings. I am curious to know what my fellow educators here on Edmodo believe is a successful reflection tool or practice that I can research and look to implement with my teachers next year. Thoughts and Ideas?

Good evening one and all. I have a question for the group. Is anyone here from, or know a teacher from Japan? I have a fellow teacher who needs to interview a teacher from Japan for a graduate class that she is taking, and told her I would check my Edmodo groups and communities to help her out. If possible, the help is appreciated.
    • Mrs. Mack - Hello, Mrs. Behnfeldt. I have a colleague who used to teach in Japan, however right now he is in Japan for summer break. Is there a deadline when your friend needs the complete the interview?

    Hello All,

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! As our school year is coming to an end I wanted to share my DonorsChoose project with you once again. My hope is that with one final push this week, we can raise the $365 that are left (It started as a nearly $2,700 project) to fulfill our goal of bringing programming robots to our school, Hilltop Drive Elementary. It would be a great way to end the school year and to get the students excited about coming back next year. So please read more about it below, share it on social media, and donate if you are able to! Thank you!

Students took action to provide their community and peers information about why it is important to understand how biological evolution works. If you have time, please leave some feedback on the blog site that hosts the projects. Thank you!
    • Ms. Kelly - I clicked on the link, but didn't get to the projects themselves.

My third grade team is looking for something that asks students to read and respond to Common Core passages on the computer. Something similar to the SBAC/CAASP so that students can practice the skills that they will need for the test. We have workbooks that are similar to the type of questions on the test, but students struggled to transfer the skills of doing the problems in the book to the computer. Any ideas?
