This Summer, I am into completing a Review Manual for my students on different subjects but I'm into focusing to Information Technology because here in the Philippines they usually conduct Quizshow competitions wherein schools from different areas of the country are competing for a prize, prestige and of course reward. I find it very productive to be able to produce one so that when the school year starts, I can just easily hand the Review Manuals to whoever will be selected to compete and represent the school for Quizshow competitions.

I would like to create an assignment where students create a digital board game for their cybercullying unit. Does anyone know of any cloud based software that would allow us to do that? We are pretty low-tech here. We can't install software and we cant use apps.

    Thanks!

    Hi gurus,
I'm looking for an inquiry unit to use in a primary library (yrs 3 - 6) that introduces kids to information literacy, especially focussing on catalogue and/or web search skills. Any ideas, directions or units you've used before that have been engaging and had good learning outcomes would be awesomely appreciated! The kids already use Edmodo and some web tools but their general tech experience and research skills are relatively low.
    Thank you!

I'm trying to help out a school librarian who wants to use Overdrive on iPad for students to check out books. She would like the iPad to read an ebook (not audiobook) aloud as the students follow along with the reading. I tried to use the voice over on the iPad but could not get it to work while in Overdrive. Any ideas how a book in Overdrive can be read aloud while the student looks at the text? Thanks!

Hi! Are there any parents of toddlers (2 y.o.) in the group who would like to connect via Skype or G-hangouts? Please send me a message to work out the details. I live in Spain (so I can help you with any Spanish materials you may need) but I talk to my daughter in English.
    Thanks for your time!
    :-)

Is anyone familiar with Alice.org? I am starting a tech club with 4th and 5th graders. Would it be appropriate for them? They have had little to no tech experience at home.
    Thanks

    Hi All,

So I have classes of over 40 and only 27 computers...I came up with 3 group rotations (2 groups on computers and 1 group off computers)...I am stumped for unplugged activities that my group offline can do while the other groups are online. Please help me with unplugged activities that are fun and engaging. I teach 6th, 7th, & 8th grade computers and all grades have huge class sizes.

In presentation where my topic is on creating Storyboard before putting them into digital presentation. I am dividing the class into several groups. Each group is given large size papers, set of pictures based on certain stories and genres. The group will arrange the pictures in the big paper, assign conversations/settings/and characters, they will make a story out of the pictures. But each member should contribute his/her own line based on the flow of the story...If a group is finished first they will be the first to create their digital presentation based on their storyboard... more...

For spreadsheet, I let the pupils collect grocery receipts, they will create first their Worksheet using Formula in their notebook while the others are doing the worksheet in their computer...They will take turns in using the computer...They will compare their outputs after the activity based on a rubric like accuracy, speed, neatness of output...
