    Playful Learning @ FETC: Bringing Game Based Learning to your Classroom!
    FETC 2014 is proud to partner with Learning Games Network and BrainPOP to offer a free day of professional development to educators from across the country to innovate through the use of games in education. In this hands-on BYOD workshop for those new to game based learning, educators will learn the basics of the tools, opportunities and strategies to effectively integrate games into quality teaching.
    This event is FREE to all registered FETC 2014 attendees and participants will earn 6 hours CEU credits for attendance. The workshop will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2014 from 9 am – 4 pm in room S310BC of the Orange County Convention Center. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own devices, laptops are preferred but tablets are welcome! Join The Game Based Learning Experience @FETC by registering below! The first 200 participants to register will be accepted!
    The Learning Games Network is a non-profit spin-off of the MIT Education Arcade and the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Games+Learning+Society Center.     • Mrs. Adams - Yes! Click on my Profile (avatar) and explore my Favorites Folder. I have a Google doc inside with 150 Teacher-Created groups. You can also click your Home icon, then look in the lower left area for "Communities" and click 'Show All'. A list will generate of all available communities. When you find the one (or eight) you want to participate in, click 'Follow'.

    • Mrs. Adams - Let me also add, once you have found the join link request (or group code) on the Google Doc. go to little PLUS SIGN with a CIRCLE icon beside Groups; This is located in the Upper left area on your HOME page. When you click this icon, you will be prompted to 'Create' or ''Join'. When that window opens, put in the group code info. It it's a join code you will automatically be in the group and the name will appear in your Group list on the left side of your screen (after you log out or refresh your page).     Hey everyone, my school district is getting ready to endorse "bring your own technolgy" to school. With that said, I want to go ahead and start making assignments. Does anyone know of a website to where I can use Barcodes for assignments? This way a student can use their phone to scan something for information and then it pops up on their phone. Thanks!!
