If I purchase a Zondle account here, will I be able to manage it by logging into my existing Zondle account online straight through their own portal?
    • Mrs. Davis - I got an email saying that they were shutting down. Not sure if that happened.

    • Mr. Giotto - The zondle app for edmodo will be a separate account from your free zondle account. You could share your resources on your free account with the zondle for edmodo account. I know that free zondle is about to close down, but I'm not sure about the status of the edmodo app.

Any word on the status of zondle? Did you get enough potential subscribers?
    • Mrs. Corey-Blew - I am so hoping zondle will continue!

    • Zondle - Please see this link. Also watch out for Teresa Perles announcement at Edmodocon15 http://www.zondle.com

    • Mrs. Corey-Blew - Fantastic news! Thank you so much, zondle staff, for working so hard to keep zondle going for teachers and students. I am so relieved and excited that my students will get to keep learning with zondle!

I have also been trying to contact Ben and have received those messages. Does all of that go for the zondle app through edmodo? Will we not be able to pay the $25 to use it through edmodo either?

Here's the response I got from Ben:
    Dear zondler,

We have had an amazing response to the announcement of zondle's impending closure and some really kind words from our users.

We have been shocked by the numbers of teachers who have expressed a willingness to pay to keep the site open and so I am emailing everyone again to see whether this is a real possibility.

    A possibility?
I have been asked by the shareholders to prepare a fully-costed business plan to see whether we can build a sustainable business out of zondle going forward.
Most teachers suggested they would be willing to pay a monthly (or yearly) teacher’s subscription that will give each teacher (and all their students) access to zondle as it currently exists. The price would be $8 per month or $80 for a whole year.

    Zondle’s costs
Zondle needs about $7500 per month to keep going and supported, and a further $3500 per month to ensure we can keep developing great new features throughout the year.
This means that we need about 1500 teachers to contribute $8 per month to keep our doors open.

    Please help!
To help to make this happen can you please answer the three questions on this survey: http://xgiu.mj.am/link/xgiu/klm0x1h/2/hqJ2XNC...
Please also share this survey with other teachers who use zondle.

Thanks again so much for all your wishes and support, I really appreciate it.

I will update all our users at the end of this week.

    With best wishes

    Ben

      • Ms. King - Paying would be out of my pocket but I'd do it if it was reasonable. Zondle completely aligns with my philosophy- fun, brain-based, real learning :)

      • Mrs. Corey-Blew - I would be happy to pay! I have so many topics I have created and want to keep using them. Zondle is exactly what Ms. King said: fun, brain-based, real learning. We need it!

      • Mrs. Parker - I would like to limit my students to only play the topics I have set and use the teacher goodies. Is there a way to choose which features I enable for them?

      • Ms. Wald - Images question: Nothing came up when I entered "images" on the Tutorials page, and forum questions appear rarely answered, so I'm trying this. I set up several Text/Image Multiple Choice questions. The images showed up too tiny to be read, so I also set up each image up as a "reference," and when I test played a game the large reference image came up first, then I'd click on it and go to the question. However, when I tried this in Zondle Challenge, not only did I not get an enlarged image to view first, but the question disappeared and in place more...

      • Mr. Salvucci - Is there a way to add a new student into an existing group using the Zondle Connect App? I did it once before, but I have forgotten how. I have several students who can no longer access the class group in Zondle and the app through Edmodo does not show me class join codes, nor does it give me the ability to add students manually. I created my Zondle log in through Edmodo, so I cannot access the full Zondle site online.

        Any help is appreciated.

Bottom Line: Can I not use image references in zondle Challenge?
