And isn't this an amazing student/teacher contributed video to Carolina Classrooms? It aired with the latest episode, but we think it's worth watching on its own. This student-produced video tells the story of Ms. Susan Turner's Biology II class. In Ms. Turner's class, instead of the standard lab write-up, students use their MacBooks and classroom Hovercams to create "dissection documentaries." This video was compiled by Spartanburg High School senior Asia Boyd, with videos and pictures by Mr. Adam Babcock, Technology Integration Specialist at SHS.

TEDxYouth@ColumbiaSC is South Carolina’s by-youth, for-youth conference that unites 500 high schoolers around the power of ideas for one day. This year, the conference takes place April 18 at the Darla Moore School of Business and the theme is a surprise.

The event will feature speakers and performers with new or rarely-discussed ideas around the theme over the course of a day.

For more information, email Kevin Rabinovich, a high school student who is helping to organize the event, at kevinr@tedxyouthcolumbiasc.com.
