I just added this app through edmodo, how do I connect the both?
  • Mrs. Woods's avatar
I just installed the literatu app through the Edmodo store. How do I activate the 30-day trial? I just happened to have created a literatu account 30-day trial outside of Edmodo. Can I connect the two? I am very interested in trying out this resource, especially through Edmodo. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated.
    • Literatu Pty Limited - Hello Mrs Woods,
I have checked your Edmodo connected community, and the trial is active. Your classes and students have been set up already.
Since the trial account you set up outside of Edmodo had no students or other data in it, you can just ignore it and keep going with the Edmodo connected community.
The next step in your trial is to add an activity. Adding activities is a straight forward process, and is documented here https://literatu.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/article...

    Hi Everyone,
Literatu is now available in the Edmodo store in US, Australia, UK and Ireland.

We are opening up a 30 day free trial model for schools anywhere in the world to trial. This will be available in the next 2 weeks and I will post more news when we have it all set.
We are a multi -lingual platform now across 4 main languages and would love to hear from people who want to create a translation file for any language they want Literatu to run in.
We look forward to you being able to see and trial Literatu, joining teachers around the world.

We recently released Live Activity Monitoring for the Literatu app.

Live monitoring lets teachers see how students are progressing with an activity, in real time. Instantly see which students are falling behind in completing an activity, and which students might need extra ‘fast finisher’ work.

For automatically marked activities, see student scores the moment they complete each question. With a sweep of your mouse, you can even see the answers being entered, enabling immediate intervention and remediation. To learn more about live monitoring, click on the link below.

    • Literatu Pty Limited - Hi . Thanks for the info. This is great if all education engagements are simply multiple choice questions. ( PS They could be marked instantly with other products....)
Also you might get this for free but GradeCam is $15 month per teacher if you really want to use it.

I have purchased a class license to try out Literatu with my algebra class. I managed to create a class and supposedly all my students are enrolled (I see their names on my class student list). I created an assignment and the students saw it on their Edmodo planner as an assignment due. However, when they click on the Literatu app from Edmodo, they are taken to a home page that asks them to login to Literatu. I was thinking they would be automatically connected because they are logged in to Edmodo. If they need a separate log in for the site, what is it? And what is the point of having it linked to Edmodo? I played around with it for a while and saw that they have an "email" assigned on my class list that doesn't match their Edmodo accounts. I had a student enter a new password on my computer, but when he went to sign in on Literatu with the assigned email and the new password he chose, it still didn't work. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks for any help.

    • Literatu Pty Limited - Hi again,
We have looked through our logs, and we can see that the students have initiated a connection to us via Edmodo, but we are not detecting any reason for a failure. We have expanded our session logging to see if we can trap the reason that the session could not be created.
Would you please ask the students to try again, and we will see if we can detect the cause.
      Best,
      Lidija

I am from Australia and Edmodo is available but most of the Edmodo Apps are not. Is the Literatu App for edmodo going to be available to Australians soon? Because my school is looking for alternatives to their present system...

Also does the Google Literatu App version and Edmodo Literatu App version communicate with each other, so that 1 class can appear in both areas?
    • Literatu Pty Limited - HI, Apologies for the late reply. This question just came thru.
Edmodo is not opening up paid apps in the Australian Store which is a real hassle. You can of course have a sample class via Literatu direct but not via Edmodo.
We would love to put more pressure onto Edmodo to allow schools to use our product in Aust as we are an Australian Company - based in Crows Nest!
We do work nicely with Google Domains - this is not as 'integrated' with the concept of classes that have teachers and students BUT we have done some simple work around class codes, as

    • Dr. Templeson - Hi Mr Glazebrook, Edmodo Apps are now open in Australia. If you search for Literatu in the top home search screen, you will find us there. We would be happy to link up online and show you if you are interested.

    • Mr. Glazebrook - Thank you Dr Templeson, I will look into it again. I was actually involved with a range of other IT implementation ideas at my school, so have not been using Edmodo and associated Apps but will be next term.

Will the app automatically add students who are added to my class later?
    • Literatu Pty Limited - Hi Ms Neace. Yes is the answer. As students are added to your Edmodo class, they will be auto added he second they enter Literatu.

    Hi MsBoulanger

there is really no limit on how many can be in a group. We however sell licenses per class, which can have up to 40 students

    students I hope this helps.
