New To GoAnimate for Schools.... What do I need to do if I have selected characters, written a script, and then I get an error message when I try to preview ("Notification: Please select a valid character and try again.") Are there "how to" directions out there? Thanks!
    • Mr. Lewis - My students get that message with IE sometimes.

    • Ms. Reid - My students need access to the embed code for their goanimate. When a teacher creates one, the embed code is available within the goanimate app but not when a student has created one. My students need an embed code so that we can share their goanimate with their peers outside of Edmodo.

    • GoAnimate For Schools - Hi Ms. Reid,
Thanks for your message. Students do not have sharing privileges outside of Edmodo. Embed codes are not available to them. This is for privacy and security purposes. We don't want students to be able to share their personal information on the web. Thanks!

Hi! We love using goAnimate in class. My students have a few requests for things for you to consider adding in the future. 1)They have some trouble scrolling through their scenes in the app- a scroll bar doesn't appear (this may be due to the fact they are using Chrome Books) 2) They would really like to be able to share a project with each other so they can collaborate and work on a movie together. I don't know if that would be possible but that's their suggestions for improvement. Thank you!
    • GoAnimate For Schools - Thanks for your suggestions! I will pass them onto our Product team.
Mrs. Kapinos, I suggest changing the zoom on your browser. If you zoom out, your students should be able to see the scroll bar better. If you're still having issues after this, let me know.

The $79 subscription package is for 1 teacher + 30 students. Thanks Mrs. Anderson for your response.

At our school we keep entrance test on Science , English and Maths for the new admission students to check their entry level irrespective of curriculum. Presently we give them hard copies of the questions papers and make them write on the sheet and we give it to the respective teachers for correction and get it back and do the marks entries and conclude the admission.
    I found it really difficult.
I am thinking to keep the entire assessment process on line so that the tool does the self grading and brings our easy.
    i myself found some websites like https://testmoz.com/ , http://www.thatquiz.org/ , http://www.aplusclick.com/
But i find mostly all the above websites for maths.
Any ideas about tools or websites to keep online entrance assessment (for science and English)
I would like to know what ideas you follow for the above issue.

Hello, we need some help grading short answer questions, do you know of any program or app out there that could identify key words or phrases on short answer responses of at least 300 characters?
(I know neither flubaroo (only grades one-word answers) or edmodo quizzes do this)
I know I can do up to 140 characters using my student response system (Qwizdom) but wanted to know if there was anything else out there, more type efficient and with at least 300 characters. Thanks!

I'm looking into purchasing Go Animate for Schools Internet version (not the Edmodo one). Will my students be able to upload their videos to Edmodo from the website?
    • Mrs. Sensenich - ps You may want to double check the price. It might be cheaper in Edmodo?

      • Ms. Macy - It is cheaper, by about 20$ but it isn't the full web version. It will just be easier for me to purchase the full version. Thank you.

Feature request- It would be an awesome feature if kids could edit their creations. They're making some creative movies but with fixable mistakes. It would just be nice to be able to use the app as part of the writing process. :o)
    • Sandy King - Mine do too! I just hate it when they publish with mistakes!

      • GoAnimate For Schools - If your students are working in a full video maker, they will be able to go back in and edit later. The videos that can't be edited were created in a quick video maker. We are looking into changing this. Thanks for all your feedback!

      • Sandy King - That would be wonderful! Elem. kids don't quite have the skills at first to use the full video maker. :o)

How do you edit a video after the student has already saved it to their backpack?
    • Ms. Kraft - You'd have to download it and edit it elsewhere, like wevideo.com or imovie.

      • Nov 5, 2013
    • GoAnimate For Schools - Your students should be able to edit their videos. When they open the app, they should select "Your Videos". They can select their video and click to edit it.

I'm new at GoAnimate and find it very interesting, I was wondering if there are characters for shops such as welding. I'm trying to make a small training video to help my indentified welding students understand the procedures & practices via video's. I also tried it last night for the first time and lost all the work I was doing before I could save, I think my computer may have had a brain freeze. Starting to get cold up here in Northern Canada. LOL
    • GoAnimate For Schools - Hi Mr. Girard,
We don't have any welding specific characters. You can create one in our character creator. You can also import backgrounds and props in the full video makers.
I'm sorry you lost your video. If you are working in a full video maker, your video will auto-save while you're working. If you check in "my videos" it will appear there. The quick video makers do not auto-save. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
      Thanks!
