Common Sense Media provides an excellent foundation for teaching children and young adults about internet safety. I use the lessons in the scope and sequence, the digital passport, and the digital compass with my students. All of the classes (K-6) in my building receive ongoing instruction in the media center from me and I sure see the growth of the students over the years. With issues of Internet Safety affecting my own family (even though I talk to my own teenagers endlessly about being safe online) these lessons prepared me on the really important aspect to teach my students along with relaying my own personal experiences! Best curriculum I've seen for teaching online safety.

All the Faculty in my Middle School are excited to have Digital Citizens in our classrooms. Common Sense Media provided all the resources, ideas, activities so we could present them to our student and continue educating them on being good Global Digital Citizens. We have experienced a good change on the way our students use the internet and all the tools/apps that come with it. They now know how powerful the internet is and also that it works to create a network that is very useful in Education!

This is my first year teaching Digital Citizenship through the Common Sense Media Site. I have found the Common Sense Media Site to be a wealth of information. Many of my fifth graders loved the curriculum and the games. For my fourth and third graders, we used the Nearpod activities on Common Sense Media as well. They were very engaged in the activities and the group discussions. These activities all helped my students understand their impact on the digital world.

This is my second year teaching Digital Safety through the Common Sense Media Site Website. The children loved the the curriculum laid out in a very "teacher friendly"format. They were engaged and motivated to follow the modules and especially enjoyed the unplugged activities such as Cyber bullying, Digital Drama, and Trillion Dollar Footprint.. It seems to have had a large impact on the students because they do live in a world filled with data, communications, and a media atmosphere where it isn't always possible to filter them from. I especially enjoyed Speaking to the parents and engaging them into lively discussions of all the advantages of using Common Sense Media website as a valuable resource. Also, great discussions were had with the staff, parents and students by viewing the different videos on the Common Sense Media website. Thanks so much!

In my recent years of teaching Technology, I found common sense media a best way of teaching digital social issues and their solutions. Best part of this is the involvement of parents in the whole process, through many worksheets and educational video in this all discussion. Cyber bullying, looking for high quality websites, ethics of reuse remix and rework, digital drama and other topics were really helpful for students to understand their role in modern digital era. They learned a lot through the different resources and videos supported by common sense media. Thanks CSM

Now my students, are familiar with Cyber bullying, My Media , Digital foot print etc. It has been wonderful to see how my learners and parents have developed their digital skills prior to starting Common Sense curriculum. Definitely I recommend, all International schools to follow, the Common Sense Media Curriculum. Thank you Common Sense Media for all the resources making it easier for us to guide our students.

This was my first year of teaching Common Sense Curriculum to my KS2/3 students. I informed parents during the process and I am pleased that the learning has happened at home as well. CommonSense Digital Citizenship resources are a must for all educators of ICT to make their learners aware of everything that includes digital learning.

Thumbs up to all the experts at Common Sense!

At my school we launched Common Sense Curriculum in Term 2. This involved most teachers in the school to teach digital citizenship topics to our students. I covered with my Year 8 students in particular topics like; Cyber bullying, Crossing the Line, Reality of Digital Drama and Trillion Dollar Footprint. I am proud to say that my Year 7 and 8 students are confident digital users.

This academic year, I was excited to introduce my Year 9 learners to a number of Digital Citizenship curriculum lessons. One thing for sure is that by teaching these technology topics, it has made learning more accessible, interactive, and collaborative. I can say that my students are more knowledgeable about responsible internet use. I would encourage other educators around the world to promote CommonSense media resources. Thank you CommonSense for providing us teachers with the latest resources on Digital Citizenship.
