About Mr. Randall Black

I am from Huntington, WV where I continues my attempts to initiate change in education. I am an educator, technology specialist, EdTech consultant, and podcaster with a goal to help students, teachers, and administrators to improve for success in, and out, of the classroom. I am focused on continuous improvement of my skills as an educator and my knowledge base as a technology specialist. I am currently working with Putnam County Schools as a Technology Systems Specialist. Prior to working for Putnam County Schools I served at Huntington Middle School (HMS) in Huntington, WV as the Title I Technology Integration Specialist (TIS) in Cabell County, WV. I also worked at both Enslow Middle School (2007-2009) and Cabell Midland High School (2009-2013) teaching Social Studies. I am a 2004 graduate of Marshall University with a B.A. in Secondary Education (Social Studies) and History and completed an M.A. in Teaching and Learning with Technology from Ashford University in 2012. In addition to being certified to teach Social Studies, I hold certification as a Technology Integration Specialist, Technology Systems Specialist, and Library Media Specialist. I am the host of The Randall Black Show. This podcast focuses on education, technology, and West Virginia. The goal of the podcast is to share educational success to help bring light to all the great things going on in education, technology, and West Virginia.
