About Dr. W. Scott Stornetta, Ph.D.

I have come late to teaching in a public school setting, previously having been involved in research in a number of areas, and then helping to start up companies to turn that research into something that has a larger impact beyond the research community. I am currently teaching mathematics at the introductory algebra I level for freshman who struggle with math. I also teach high performing students how to do research. As to formal credentials, I have a Ph.D. in physics from Stanford. My own research focuses on ways to improve student learning while keeping the workload for teachers manageable.
