Coach Taylor Burks is starting his 2st year at Hillwood High School, but his 13th year in education. Coach Burks is from Dyersburg, Tennessee. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University in Biology Education. While coaching football at Georgia Military College, he earned a Master’s degree from Georgia College and State University in Physical Education.

Coach Burks has moved throughout the Southeast teaching and coaching football. He has spent time in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Kentucky, and Tennessee. He will be teaching Physical Science and Freshman Seminar, and is serving as the defensive coordinator for the Hillwood football program. He enjoys football, training his black lab, duck hunting, and fishing.
