I am a teacher librarian, learning commons specialist at Gilbert Middle. I have been teaching for 33 years and still love what I do. I was a classroom teacher in the subjects of high school English, middle school English and language arts and middle school math and science for 15 years before getting a masters in Library and Information Science. My degrees include a bachelor of arts in English, a MLIS and a Specialist in Library and Information Science with a concentration in curriculum design in technology integration. I have been in library and information services for 18 years at the elementary and middle levels. I am married with four children, four grandchildren and five dogs. I love watching students blossom and grow into young adults, which is why I love teaching middle school.
