Mr. Puchein was originally from Cleveland, Ohio and attended high school locally at Bishop Moore High School. He graduated with honors from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor in Social Studies Education (6-12).



Mr. Puchein enters his 17th year of teaching, previously working at Gotha Middle School before becoming an original faculty member at Olympia. He has been a recipient of multiple National Endowment for the Humanities awards and nominated multiple times to "Who's Who Among American Teachers". From 2008 to 2013 he was selected to score exams at the AP Human Geography Reading.



During the 2011-2012 school year, Mr. Puchein looks forward to teaching both APEX AP Human Geography and American History. He is also a 2LT in the Olympia Civil Air Patrol.
