New Practice & Voice/Read-Aloud Settings
We’re excited to release this new feature using which teachers and parents can personalize the practice experience for students. For example, teachers can enable “Immediate Feedback” option which provides the student real-time feedback immediately after each question. Also, we are excited to announce the availability of our “Voice/Read-Aloud” feature including the text-highlighting/follow-along capability for all K-5 grades.
Following “Practice Settings” are now available to personalize the practice experience:
Voice (Read-Aloud): Enable voice (read-aloud) feature for your students.
Allow One Retry: Allow one extra retry/attempt if a student’s first attempt was wrong.
Award Coins: Award coins when a student gets a question correct in the 2nd attempt.
Immediate Feedback: Enable immediate feedback when students get a question wrong. Entire practice results are always available at the end of each practice.
Voice (Read-Aloud) Feature with text-highlighting/follow-along capability
Voice feature is now available for all K-5 grades. Voice is already enabled by default for grades K and 1. Voice can be enabled for grades 2-5 with practice settings.

ScootPad - Hi Ms. Foster - Have the students been imported from Edmodo or have they been added manually in ScootPad? Student accounts in ScootPad need to be linked with their Edmodo accounts in order for the students to Sign In via Edmodo to their ScootPad account. From within ScootPad, click on "Support" and "Send Feedback" to let us know your email address associated with your account so we can take a closer look.

ScootPad - Hi Mrs. Maples - Read-Aloud feature (using ReadSpeaker) is enabled and available for Grades K and 1 currently. When a student is in Math or Reading/ELA practice, they will see a speaker icon - clicking it will have the question/answer read aloud to them. There is no setting/setup needed. We are looking into enabling this for grades 2-5 along with the option for teachers to enable/disable this features for students.

ScootPad - Hi there - Currently there is no automated way to link your Edmodo account to your existing ScootPad account. We will add this to our development/enhancement list. In the interim, you can go ahead and create a new ScootPad account from Edmodo and send us an email (by clicking Support within ScootPad) including your account information and we can link your edmodo account with your old ScootPad account.

ScootPad - Mrs. Gallloway - Please send us your email address associated with your ScootPad account - we can take a look and resolve the issue. Students not able to Sign In and students missing are two very strange issues and we will look into this as soon as we can get your email address to identify your account on ScootPad.

I have been trying to add additional students to my classes for weeks now. My premium membership is about to expire and I have attempted to contact ScootPad numerous times. With no luck. I work in a district where students come and go on a daily basis. I tried to manually input the students but then their names do not appear in their classes. Does anyone else have this issue? Is there a phone number to call them directly? I am very frustrated. It took me so long to set up the accounts and figure out how to use it. Please help.- Mar 3, 2013

Along with teaching Computers in K-8, I also do Basic Skills / Enrichment for 3rd & 4th grade. My 4th graders just got on ScootPad this year. It has really helped them! In fact, I signed my own 3rd grader up so he can practice math facts!- Feb 19, 2013
