I am looking for resources that will help with probability. Do you have any videos or games that you could recommend?

Try our fun new game, Gate, which explores place value.

    Gate supports students in:
    - Lowering intimidation about large numbers and decimals.
    - Realizing that the same mathematical concepts that apply to the "easy" integers apply to every order of magnitude.

my students love these. A great resource to get their attention. They can be used with lessons that I have already created, or download the additional resources on math snacks and use those. When I do that, I still save paper by displaying with LCD projector from my laptop.

Game Over Gopher, our newest game (teaches plotting coordinates on a graph), is in Beta. Try it and let us know what you think! Suggestions we receive at this stage will influence the final version of the game.

    CALLING ALL BEGINNING TEACHERS!!!!!!!!

I created this group called Beginning Teachers. It is aimed as a platform for beginning teachers to help each other out, chat to each other and swap resources.

Please feel free to invite other beginning teachers (approximately 0-5 years experience.) We currently have members of the group with 6 and 7 years experience, so we are not very strict on experience! Also if you have twitter/other social networks, feel free to pass on the message. The more, the merrier!!

I thought it would be a good platform to help each other out. The Join URL is:

Are any of you using Monster School Bus in the classroom? We'd love to hear your responses.
    • Ms. Nehmer - I'm using Monster School Bus with my middle school Title I students. They like it and enjoy the graphics. They also like the logical aspects of the game, which requires them to fill the bus, rather than pick randomly! Very enjoyable:)
