Sharing GeoGebra worksheets on 'Graphs of Powers of x'. Feel free to download and use- Apr 1, 2013

I just finished making five ‘GeoGebra’ worksheets on locus of a point. I must say that while making these worksheets, my own understanding of the concept was challenged. GeoGebra wonderfully depicts what I used to just imagine happening. Kudos to the makers of GeoGebra!- Mar 8, 2013

Sharing GeoGebra worksheets on Integer addition using number line. There are two worksheets. First worksheet is for investigation and second worksheet is for drill.
I had shared these long back. Some of you might find it useful. Feel free to download and share.- Mar 7, 2013

I am the most recent number-one fan of Geogebra. Teaching PreCalculus and Geometry, I find Geogebra extremely effective as a visual aid for students.
Here are a couple of video demos that I have created.

Does anyone know if I can add an image to geogebra and then a sliding bar to scale it proportionally?- Feb 14, 2013
-
GeoGebra - You can. Please have a look at this example: http://www.geogebratube.org/student/m14173
- Feb 14, 2013
-
Mr. Phibbs - Yes you can attach the image to the endpoints of a segment and control the segment by a slider. If you make a rectangle whose dimensions are both controlled by the slider then you can adjust both width and height as well at the same time. Another way to do it is to do a transform dilation and the slider is the % of the dilation. Good luck.

Howdy!
Looking for activities I can do in geogebra with 6 and or 7th graders. We are doing ratios and percents right now, so not entirely geometric, but perhaps someone has something? Otherwise we will be doing area and volume in a month or so.
Thanks!- Feb 13, 2013

Here is the graphing irrationals lesson in word format as requested!- Feb 2, 2013

Hello All!
Just did this today with my 7th graders. Constructing irrationals on the number line. Thought I would share the worksheet! One is an editable pages and the other is a pdf.
Enjoy!- Feb 1, 2013

Telannia Norfar - Thanks so much for the share. I am still learning the "Do now". I am curious if when you did the lesson, if the students looked at information after stop and used it to answer the top portion.

Mr Josh Gold - Nope, they did not. I had them do the do now section for a few minutes on their own then a few minutes with partner/small group. There really isn't time for a "do now" all the time. This do now is simply get started now, but it is essential to the lesson. Another do now option is for remediation. There was a great edmodo highlight about it. Little edmodo quiz on a topic for remediation as a do now. Students that struggled will get a few minutes remediation in class with you.

Telannia Norfar - Thanks for the info. Do you have the link to the edmodo highlight? Also, I have pages but some people may want it in word. Do you think you can upload a copy of the document in word.
- Feb 1, 2013
-
Mr Josh Gold - Ill add it above in word format. Not sure all the formatting will be the same!
- Feb 2, 2013
-
Telannia Norfar - It probably won't :). At least Microsoft people can still have it to manipulate like Mac people :).

I uploaded a dynamic worksheet for my students to have a look at but they said it just came up blank for them! What should I do? I also put up a link to the GeoGebra website for them to download it and many of them had difficulties saying an error kept coming up when they tried to open the program? Any solutions?- Dec 10, 2012
