What are the differences between the free app and the paid app? I set them both up for my students, and they are telling me there is no difference. I have not had the chance to sit and play. Any help in answering this question would be appreciated.
    • Mr. Barren - Sometimes with free apps, advertising is found within the app and with paid apps there is no advertising.

    • Mangahigh.com Math Games - Hi Mrs Veep, thanks for asking. Is this within Edmodo, or on Mangahigh itself? In Edmodo, play is limited within the Free App, and you as teacher do not get any data on what the students have achieved.

Can you send me information. Where do we sign up?

Mangahigh now works on iPads and tablets. Prodigi is 100% (should work a bit faster too) on both, and the games work on Android but not on iPads for the moment.

LOVE the newsfeed!!! Is that for everyone or just for the A+ program? (I have a free trial right now.) I'm also very HAPPY that Manga can be used on mobile devices! LOVE LOVE all of the features that you've been adding! Thanks!
    • Mangahigh.com Math Games - Thanks Sandy! The Newsfeed is a premium feature, so we're just giving everyone a nice long trial so they can see how it works. We've got some further big releases planned...

    • Sandy King - Any chance that you could provide the newsfeed for everyone?

      • May 14, 2013
    • Mangahigh.com Math Games - The Newsfeed is a key feature of A+.

I love the newsfeed, but wonder if there is a report that lists which students have been active over the past day, week or time period?
    • Mangahigh.com Math Games - Hi Judi, we have changed the way that we report this. Previously it was in the form of the most active students list. Now we do it more by Activity thru the Newsfeed, but we also report which students have been doing independent study via mSensei. There's more reporting goodness in the pipeline.

On the QT, Prodigi should now be working on iPads. Could you try with your classes and tell us how it goes?

I would LOVE for there to be a real easy way to link to a challenge from the student reports section. For example, If I see that a student has performed poorly on "Identify factor pairs" in their individual analytics page, I would like to be able to click right on that challenge and go to the challenge in the 'challenge browser' so that I can re-assign that challenge to the particular student(s). Linking from the "Analytics for student" pages directly to the challenge in "Browse Challenges" would be spectacular. Right now I have to highlight the name of the challenge (or remember it) and paste it into the browse challenge search box in order to find it and re-assign it. Thanks and keep up all of your great work with this site. We love it!

Have you tried the Newsfeed? What do you think?

How do we join a Fai-To?
    • Mangahigh.com Math Games - Hi Mr Booth, Fai-Tos will come, as long as your school stays active. Every Monday we allocate Fai-Tos across schools that have a certain level of activity in the previous week, I think it's 30 or 50 medal points.

Outstanding content and design! My kids are thrilled with the site, and I'm thrilled with the way I can interact with each of them on an individual instructional level. Well done!

Any plans in the works to release some new games?
    • Mangahigh.com Math Games - Hi Mr Hedin, at the moment, we are adapting Prodigi to iPads, and you will be able to see the results of this work in the next 10 days or so. New games will also have to be made iPad-friendly, and there are not many good developers available.

Where can I find Manga images, buttons, embed codes etc.? I've seen and used them before, but now I can't seem to find any.
    • Mr. Crasson - Hi Sandy, I created a whole bunch of edmodo badges to award students for Mangahigh work. They are shared on my profile so please feel free to use them.

Here's a pic of hte beautiful Fai-Tea trophies we sent out. Get yours next year!

The UK wins The Fai-Tea! In a nail biting finish, the UK has managed to maintain their narrow lead to be crowned the winners of The Fai-Tea! 322 Fai-Tos won by UK schools and 315 won by US schools. Congratulations to all schools who have taken part!
    • Mr. Spicer - Loved the Fai-Tea! Now, when is that iPad app. going to be released?!

      • Mar 5, 2013
    • Mr. Miller - Hear Hear Mr. Spicer! We too are awaiting the App Heard 'Round the World.

      • Mar 5, 2013
    • Mrs. Eberle - Really REALLY need the iPad app! :)

The UK has had a phenomenal weekend, and has taken the lead in The Fai-Tea! The UK has 287 wins and the US is just shortly behind with 271 wins. The final result will be decided by the 79 Fai-Tos that are currently still in play, so now more than ever every point counts! Good luck to the 158 schools who are battling it out in Round 9!

Are we the only ones wondering what is going on with round 6 of this Fai-Tea? According to to yesterday's countdown clock we are now almost to the 32nd hour of a 24 hour round.
  • Judi Williams's avatar
We are curious. With our round six scheduled to end at 1:00 am, why, at 2:30 am, are points continuing to be applied to this round?
    • Judi Williams - Was the countdown clock incorrect? I would love to know so I can explain to our students.

      • Mangahigh.com Math Games - Will check

        • Mar 4, 2013
      • Mangahigh.com Math Games - OK - it looks like 9 Fai-Tos were affected by a bug over the w/e which prevented rounds from ending. We've retrospectively fixed it, so all the data now reflects 24 hours as planned!

        • Mar 4, 2013
    • Judi Williams - Thank you for checking on this, letting us know what happened, and for fixing. Our students love MangaHigh, and need to trust in it. The Fai-Tea was a wonderful and motivating experience for them and we look forward to participating in future Fai-Tos and events.

Wow, the Fai-Tea has huge momentum. Yesterday 329 US schools won their Fai-Tos vs. 308 UK schools, so the US won Day 1. There is ferocious competition at the top, with TWGSB vs. Castle Dome Middle School a particular hotspot. How are your students enjoying the competition?
    • Ms. Larson - The air is electric at our school, the kids are so excited! The timing couldn't have been better, since we just finished our American Revolution unit. The Fai-Tea was a great idea!

      • Feb 27, 2013
    • Mrs. Graham - I agree, it's been so very motivating & fun. The best part - they're learning such great math!!! We're loving this competition, thank you!!
