Either I am completely misunderstanding what I should have expected, or this app is not at all what it claims to be. I viewed the demo and was under the impression that what I saw would be a sample of what I would get. I saw a nice introduction and expected to see similar materials for each chapter. Instead the introduction and book overview was all there was to it. I bought the app and looked through it and there were no materials for each chapter. Quite a disappointment. I could have just shown the demo to my class and saved my $15.- 2 hours ago

Text complexity is an important component of Common Core rigor. Did you know that you can filter StudySync's digital library of texts and assignments by Lexile(R) level?
From Lexile.com, "Lexile measures are based on two well-established predictors of how difficult a text is to comprehend: word frequency and sentence length. Many other factors affect the relationship between a reader and a book, including its content, the age and interests of the reader, and the design of the actual book. The Lexile measure is a good starting point in your book-selection process, but you should always consider these other factors when making a decision about which book to choose."

I am excited about the lesson apps that are available. However, the lesson plans and answer keys seem to be available to the students as well as the teachers. Am I correct? Also is there anyway to post parts of the lesson at different times or is the entire study unit accessible when installed? For example, I would like to share the introduction to a novel on one day and the discussions as we progress.- Mar 27, 2013

StudySync - The lesson plans should only be available to teachers. The students will not have access to them when they login to the app. As for the lesson, currently we only allow the entire lesson to be assigned. You could just ask the student to access the library view of the app if you want to work through parts of the content.

Looks like the person below me had the same problem- so I edited her question
Study Sync-link for questions sent me here, so here is my question. I purchased the Elie Weisel Speech. when I go to my apps and manage my apps when I click on it, it just shows me that I purchased it. f I am trying to get to the lesson plan that the app is suppose to come with. Could you point me in the right direction?- Mar 23, 2013
-
StudySync - Ms. Fewins. When you click on the app from within edmodo, the app should launch to a home page for Elie Wiesel. Click on the Library tab at the top. The lesson plan will be located along the left navigation bar, at the bottom.

Study Sync-link for questions sent me here, so here is my question. I purchased the Diary of Anne Frank, when I go to my apps and manage my apps when I click on it, it just shows me that I can purchase it. I purchased it for two classes (designating the classes I wanted by checking the box). I am trying to get to the lesson plan that the app is suppose to come with. Could you point me in the right direction?- Mar 22, 2013
