Is there anyway that studyblue can become an app on edmodo? I'd love for my students to submit their flashcards to me like an assignment which I can grade and put into my edmodo gradebook.- Oct 13, 2012

Mr. Yanes - I agree. It would be fantastic to connect StudyBlue to Edmodo!

Mrs. Vargas - I would like to start using Studyblue.com with my students. Can someone please tell me how does it work?

Mrs. Howell - Mrs. Vargas- I have my students set up their own accounts (which requires an e-mail). At first, I create the flashcards for them, and share the link with students via Edmodo. All students have to do is click on that link, which sends them to a sign-in page on StudyBlue. Then, they click on 'Save To', which puts these flashcards into their own backpack (upper left corner of page).

I think if you are signed up as a teacher with a class of students, you don't have to go through this process. But I haven't had time to figure out how to do it that way, and it has worked fine. Students are now familiar with the steps.
Over the course of the year, students are eventually required to turn their notes into flashcards on their own. (I teach 8th grade Language Arts).

Greetings!
Is there a way to embed StudyBlue cards? Either onto Edmodo or a website?
Thanks!- Oct 11, 2012
-
Mrs. Howell - Yes...copy and paste the link to the StudyBlue flash cards. You get the link through the SHARE option on StudyBlue. Students can then open up the flash cards and save them into their own backpacks on StudyBlue.

Do students need an email account to use StudyBlue?- Oct 3, 2012
-
Ms. Wallace - Good question! Can I add to it? I was looking and it looks like they do. Could we use the dummy google accounts, with studyblue if our students are too young to have an email?

Mrs. Howell - You can set up teacher accounts.

Hello All, I am wondering if anybody has ideas on how to introduce technology into a class that is mostly social/emotional and therapeutic in nature. I teach a blend of Psychology/Empathy Training and Character Education to at risk high school students. Any help would be greatly appreciated!- Sep 27, 2012

I created a studyblue account but am having problems creating a group of flashcards with a class code. How do I do this?- Aug 10, 2012
-
Mrs. Howell - What I do is copy and paste the finshed flashcard link onto Edmodo, where students can access it and then save it into their own accounts.

Mr. Campbell - I have found that the class code is only really useful when creating an account. An easier way for a user to connect to a specific class is through the class link. Go to the "Send Invites" option for your class and look in the top right. There should be a link right above Class Code.

I'm new to StudyBlue and I'm wondering if there is a way that I load my class so I can track student data?- May 1, 2012
-
StudyBlue.com - Hi Mrs. Broere!
Thanks for trying out StudyBlue! We currently do not have a way to track classes of student data. Some teachers ask students to take screen shots of their scores, while others ask students to track their progress on their own.

CALLING ALL BEGINNING TEACHERS!!!!!!!!
I created this group called Beginning Teachers. It is aimed as a platform for beginning teachers to help each other out, chat to each other and swap resources.
Please feel free to invite other beginning teachers (approximately 0-5 years experience.) We currently have members of the group with 6 and 7 years experience, so we are not very strict on experience! Also if you have twitter/other social networks, feel free to pass on the message. The more, the merrier!!
I thought it would be a good platform to help each other out. The Join URL is:

StudyBlue.com - Mrs. Wild – for now, that's not something that we offer, but the idea is quite good. We plan to continue working on collaborative creation, but can't promise any dates.
One thing that works to accomodate a similar activity is to ask students to all create decks individually, then add their classmates' decks to a folder. They can click to "Study the Folder", which starts a study session with every card from every deck in the folder.
