EDU Glogster not working for me this a.m........can't get it to load at all....anyone else?
    • Mrs. Lambert-Hutchinson - I've just accessed one of my student's glogs to mark, and it was fine. A bit flaky trying to access my own dashboard from a previous link. Perhaps they have lost some functionality.
      • May 19, 2012
    • Mrs. Torlucci - thanks--seemed a little funky for awhile, but within about 20 min, was able to access it again. Was a little sketchy at different times throughout the day

I'm frustrated. Schooltube videos will not upload into Glogster. What are we doing wrong?
    • Mrs. Deja - I had that problem last week!

      • Mrs. Mize-Wilson - When I upload any video to Glogster I highlight the link, use ctrl c to copy the link and ctrl v to paste the link. It is more reliable that way.
        • May 17, 2012
      • Mrs. Manthey - My classes had a similar problem, but it ended up being due to the fact that our network was blocking the videos and not a problem in Glogster.
        • May 18, 2012
    • Mr. Mohrman - My students were able to upload videos, however it took a very long time to upload a video.

I am trying to see if students in my class on Glogster can search for images on Glogster (if that is a possibility). It seems you can search for images under the regular Glogster site and not the EDU site. Can anyone assist?

I am new to edu.glogster. I am also a fairly new teacher. I am wondering if I can search for Family & Consumer Science teachers who use glogster.edu in their class? I am looking for project ideas to get me "jump started" so I can build additional lessons.
    • Mrs. Macke - My sixth graders love to use glogster to create poster projects online. It is really easy to use and understand.

      • Mrs. Shoemaker - Mrs. Macke how do I assign the student a glog & not have to give them those crazy random numbers & letters? Also, how do you grade them? Do you require so many blinkies, so many video clips, so many banners with text info? If I do not set some kind of standard I get 2 or 3 things on the glog and DONE. They don't really know how to imbed video either. Do you know if there is a tutorial to show them?
        • May 14, 2012
      • Mrs. Macke - I do not know how to get around the wacky number letter thing. They seem to use them effectively regardless. I don't so much grade the glog as the content. We just did glogs in which they had to present ten questions for a fictional passage and ten for a non fictional passage based on the standards we learned this year. I also did one mid-year for the novel out of the dust where they compared and contrasted the relationship of the character with another character versus the her relationship with the weather. At the beginning of the year they used glogster to present a more...

      • Mrs. Shoemaker - Makes complete sense. I teach High School Family & Consumer Science and also Food & Nutrition & Parenting. I think sometimes my students like to "pull the wool over my eyes & play dumb".I have even seen a glog where a teacher created a glog and used it like an interactive worksheet concept.Students clicked on links and the students viewed videos and also read info that was attached. I thought that was a neat idea. Sort of a reverse idea.
You must teach Language Arts I noticed your Hunger Games symbol. My 2 boys love those books. A few weeks back

        • May 14, 2012
      • Mrs. Macke - I actually did a Hunger for Knowledge Games competition with my classes to end the year. The kids were crazy for it and asking for work to earn Hunger Games Points, and we didn't even read the novel. I just used the book/movie popularity to motivate the kids. They loved it and it was any easy and FREE way to get them to work because they wanted to be the victor.
        • May 14, 2012
      • Mrs. Macke - You probably already know this, but you can join the glogster community through Edmodo. I think you are able to then chat with them through Edmodo postings.
        • May 14, 2012
      • Mrs. Shoemaker - Yes I did see there was a glogster community maybe I can research and find additional info there. My boys (my real kids 11 & 14) went to the movie today to see Journey To The Center Of The Earth 2.
I am new to edmodo & trying to figure out how I can possibly use this tool next year.I am so over the worksheeet concept but the challenge I have is the limited about of technology in our classrooms.

      • Glogster EDU - Mrs. Macke & Mrs Shoemaker -- You can avoid using randomly generated usernames w/ crazy letters and numbers by signing up students with your Teacher Code! More info on that here: http://blog.edu.glogster.com/2011/10/27/how-t...

    Greetings!

How do I remove students from my previous teacher account? The students look "faded" and I can't remove them. I would like to start this year fresh. Should I delete my account and start over? Thanks!
    • Ms. Arceneaux - I have this same problem!

    • Mrs. Shoemaker - I am a High School Food & Nutrition teacher and assigned Glogster to my students a few months back & my students seemed overwhelmed. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a tutorial they can view prior to lessons?

    CALLING ALL BEGINNING TEACHERS!!!!!!!!

I created this group called Beginning Teachers. It is aimed as a platform for beginning teachers to help each other out, chat to each other and swap resources.

Please feel free to invite other beginning teachers (approximately 0-5 years experience.) We currently have members of the group with 6 and 7 years experience, so we are not very strict on experience! Also if you have twitter/other social networks, feel free to pass on the message. The more, the merrier!!

I thought it would be a good platform to help each other out. The Join URL is:

I used glogster last year when I could get a single free teacher account and loved it. I want to start using it again but am unsure if my account has any student accounts still available or if I need to purchase one of the basic accounts. Is there a way to see what your usage is on your account? Thanks
    • Ms. Neuman - Last year I also used the free glogster account. This year, my account was blocked by glogster until I signed up for the least expensive account. I then used the 50 student accounts and had kids share them. That worked just fine.

      • Mrs. Conger - Did your students have to log into Glogster accounts or were they able to just use the links from the basic account without logging in?
        • Apr 22, 2012
      • Ms. Neuman - I think they had to log in. I keep a spreadsheet of their logons and put it into the edmodo library, so if they forget they can find it here.
        • Apr 24, 2012
    • Glogster EDU - @Mrs. Menger: If you are unsure what kind of account you have, check the license box on your Dashboard -- you'll see either "Single Free" or "Teacher Light." Single Free is an individual acct w/ no student management features; Teacher Light offers 50 student accts. Your student logins will be the same as before, regardless of whether or not you upgraded.

        • Apr 13, 2012
      • Ms. Schooley - IN GLOGSTER- there is a button to "share" .... you need the "code" to EMBED it. Copy that cody- then ON EDMODO, under "notes" (not alert) you want to send a "link" Paste the link.
