I am really liking the "simple drawings" concept for teaching concepts such as vocab. Easy to make and fun to get teachers involved in screencasting. Check it out!- May 3, 2013

How can I use Ipad on my lessons of English language?- May 2, 2013
-
Mrs. Thibadeau - The best way I have used my iPad in English lessons is to copy a text from a word document, paste it into a PowerPoint slide, save that slide as a jpg in dropbox, then upload the picture of that document into Educreations. From there, you can teach and record your lesson (if you have a document camera, you can place your iPad under it to show the class) and then upload it to your website. It's great for students who are absent or need remediation...

Here is another clip on creating badges, though I think the more important part (since making badges is so easy) is how my students have been driven to be more productive from home and have improved their writing skills in search of a few special badges.- Apr 18, 2013

Sharing again...I just produced and posted another "how to" video, this one meant for students. It is aimed at showing them how to check for and view assignments that you have annotated for them. I find it helpful to see from a student's perspective what that looks like since the student screen and options are different than the teacher screen. Enjoy!- Apr 16, 2013

I have just begun making Edmodo "how to" videos and posting them to YouTube. I just completed one yesterday showing how to use the annotation feature and thought I would share it here. There are a few other videos there on the use of the backpack (meant for students, but helpful for teachers to see), differentiating using small groups and a couple others. I plan to keep making new videos with the use of Camtasia Studio 8...which is amazing! Feel free to watch and share.- Apr 15, 2013

Ms. Hoeweler - Awesome! What software did you use to record this?
- May 11, 2013

Mr. Hopper - I used Camtasia Studio 8 from TechSmith. You can download a free 30 day trial from their website. Very easy to use!

Fellow Educators,
I have recently started creating Edmodo tutorial videos. Some are for teachers and some are for students. I have been sharing them with my school district colleagues in an effort to spread the word about how easy it is to use Edmodo, and what a powerful learning tool it can be. I have found that even the videos aimed at students are beneficial for teachers to see since you get to view things from a student perspective. I will attach two but there are a few more on my page if you find them helpful. Feel free to view and share.- Apr 13, 2013

Mrs. Thompson - Thanks for these tutorials. A great way to show students and also parents of primary aged students. We had difficulty with uploading their homework last year when we first used Edmodo. This tutorial will make it so much simpler. Great sharing.

Mr. Hopper - Glad you liked it! I nearly finished another video tutorial today on annotation. I will likely finish it tomorrow and will upload it to my YouTube account when I do. Feel free to check that out as well!

Mr. Hopper - The annotation tutorial is now uploaded to YouTube!
