  TIPS!
  Do not change your background layer. Leave it original and make all adjustments to layers above your background.
  
  Create your selections on the background layer. Then, add color on a new layer above the background.
  
  When you fill with color using the paint bucket or paint brush, always use 100% opacity. Then, lower the opacity of the layer to see through the color if needed.
  
  Use a hard edge brush and hard edged selections. Do not feather your selections.
  
  To pick up a color you have used before, use the eye dropper tool.
  
  To get a previous selection reloaded, hold down the command key and click on the thumbnail image of that layer.
