About Ms. Melissa Baer
I am a behavioral interventionist facilitator at Yeokum middle school. I refer to my room as Recovery 102- I have developed a small behavioral curriculum, students role play, read lessons, write constructive criticism, and practice social skills necessary for integration back into the classroom.
I am a graduate from Kansas State Univ. (Go Cats) I majored in Interdisciplinary social science with an emphasis in rural sociology; a minor in pre-law and a secondary degree
in Natural Resources and Environmental Science. My second emphasis and passion is in conflict resolution and legal mediation. (And yes there is a degree in that)! I grew up on a farm 20 miles south west of Lawrence, Kansas and attended Lawrence High school. My family still lives there; and our farmstead is now over 130 yrs old. I have a sixteen year-old son, Kodiak Baer he is a junior this year, and an avid golfer! I recently moved to the Belton school district in July, and thus far, loving it.
