About Mrs. Harriette Lovin

Hi! I am Harriette Lovin and I teach Vocal Music at South View Middle School! This is my 28th year teaching and my 10th year at SVMS.
I graduated from Fairmont High School and attended East Carolina University for 2 years. I eventually graduated from what is now the University of NC - Pembroke and have taught in both South Carolina and North Carolina, pre-K through high school.
I am married to Mack Lovin and have a 24 year-old son, Kyle.
I also work part-time as the Director of Music for Chestnut St. UMC in Lumberton where I direct the Chancel Choir and Jubellation Ringers and play for and direct the Praise Team.
I am involved in Delta Kappa Gamma, a professional sorority for women educators and currently serve as 1st Vice President.
This year I am serving as the chairperson for the Cumberland County Middle School All County Chorus 2013. I also represent the Cultural Arts Dept. at my school by serving on SIT.
