I'm from Chicago, IL. I went to Mount Holyoke College and received an AB in International Relations and African Studies in 2004 and studied abroad at Cheikh Anta Diop in Dakar, Senegal from 2002-2003. I worked in DC as the Deputy ED of the National Association of Theatre Owners and then later at Nelson Mullins' EducationCounsel as an education policy advisor. In 2009 I moved to Kigali, Rwanda and worked with TechnoServe's Coffee Initiative, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, to double the incomes of coffee farmers in Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Ethiopia. Upon returning to the States in February 2011, I began pursuing certification in early childhood education and have been working as a lead pre-K teacher at Conley Hills since August 2011. I am currently pursuing my MAT from Georgia State University.
