I spent most of my life living in Fairhope, AL. I graduated from Fairhope High School in 1988 and earned my Bachelors degree at the University of Southern Mississippi in 1993. I was originally a music major, but changed to Elementary Education my Sophomore year, and I’m so glad I did! I absolutely love what I do! I earned my Masters degree at the University of South Alabama in 1998 and I'm currently working on my EdS in Instructional Technology at the University of Alabama. I taught 4th grade in the Baldwin County school system for 12 years until moving to Birmingham in 2006 to be closer to my family. I live with my two dogs, Levi and Lizzy, who keep things very interesting around my house. I'm also fortunate to live close to my nieces and nephews as well as the rest of my family.

I really enjoy going to Alabama football games with my family and going on mission trips with my church in the summer.
