About Ms. Stacey Noonan
Hola!
I'm Ms. Noonan, your "Profesora" for Spanish IA, I and II. I'm so excited to get to know each of you this year. We are going to have a blast learning Spanish in a very low stress, supportive, fun environment. I have been teaching Spanish for 15 years and I love it! I am very down to earth and approachable so feel free to come to me with your questions, concerns, and special needs that you may have. I expect the very best from my students, and you can expect to receive the same from me.
A favorite past time of mine is cross fit, and triathlon training. I just completed my first half ironman this past summer and am training for another now on September 30. Questions, comments, words of wisdom are all appreciated about this topic! I am very passionate about health and fitness and believe in living a balanced life- mind, body, and spirit. I love to talk about nutrition and health and I will be watching your progress as athletes in the school. Feel free to chat with me about this often :)
Some of you are very lucky this year because you will have the benefit of having 2 instructors in your class. Mrs. Mancini, a certified Spanish instructor will be our in-class support person. Think of her as your "language parent" she will assist you with questions, and provide you with comprehensible input in a very non-threatening way, much like Mom and Dad did when you were a child, focusing on getting you to speak rather than fix every error. As the content teacher, I will provide you with feedback to improve your language skills. She will be walking around, looking after you and helping you along as you need it. Make sure to smile at her and thank her often :) Print and read the edmondo rubric, you should keep a copy in your notebooks. Have your parents look it over and post comments or send me an email regarding questions or concerns they may have. I look forward to this year with you!
Warm Regards,
Ms. Noonan
