My name is Katie Angelone and this is my first year at Granite Bay High School (I'm so thrilled!) but this is my 9th year teaching at the high school level. I spent six years at Natomas Charter School and I was at San Juan High School for two.

I earned my Bachelor's Degree in social science in 2002 and I currently hold a Single Subject Clear Credential in social science.

In my personal time, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my husband and my two daughters, but I also like to travel, camp, cook, bike ride, yoga, scrapbook, visit with family both near and far, and relax when I get the chance!

My current interest in education is finding tools that not only engage the 21st century student but to also provide a flexible platform for them to learn. I truly believe that there is a strong need to change the current (and outdated!) educational paradigm so that we can provide our students the best education that suits THEM. This is why I am excited about edmodo, and many other forms of technology, this year and beyond.
