About Mr. Joseph Becker
I grew up during the beginning of a massive technological revolution that managed to continue this rapid pace. A conundrum occurred making it increasingly difficult for educators to keep pace with modern trends while administrators and parents pursue the next hot product. We can assume that most educators have a certain skillset necessary to their field. It is presumptuous thought to believe it involves a quantifiable amount of ICT knowledge. There is a constant pressure on schools to be tech savvy and cutting edge. However, I strongly believe we must collectively take a step back and intelligently decide where technology stops being effective and actually stifles the education of our students and teachers. It is imperative that a watchful eye is placed on how we train, implement, follow-up on, and even select technology based products that will affect our schools.
