About Mr. Jonathan Albers

Mr. Albers graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst with a B.S. in Physics with concentration in Astronomy. He received his M.S. in Education from the University of New Haven. The 2012-2013 school year marks his seventh year teaching at Trumbull High School.


Course Description and Objectives

"Honors Physics" and "Advanced College Prep Physics" comprise a study of mechanics, electricity, magnetism, heat, and wave phenomena. The courses demonstrates the mathematical relationships in basic physics concepts and apply these relationships to problem solving situations.

During the course, students will:
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific inquiry through class discussions and activities.
- Apply concepts and principles of Physics to demonstrations and laboratory activities.
- Apply concepts and principles of Physics to their everyday life.
