Hello my name is Randy Gonzales. I teach Civics at Woodlawn High School in Baton Rouge, LA. I have a passion about government and how it affects our lives. HIstory has taught us that Direct Democracies in Greek City-States didn't work. The Roman Republic didn't work and the common thread between these two is the lack of involvement by those being governed. Then Locke and others presented the idea that we are governed because the citizens allow themselves to be governed so that they may have freedom. So let's find out how we need to be involved.
