Education: I grew up in Anchorage; In 1985 I received my diploma from Robert Service High School. In 1990 I earned my Bachelor's of Science Degree in Speech (General Communciations) and Language Arts from the University of Idaho.Additional coursework was sompleted through many different colleges/universities since graduation including UAA, UAF, UAS and U.S. Santa Barbara; just to name a few. Employment: I worked as a Substitute Teacher while working in other career fields. I worked in retail sales, in communications for a California based radio station in Alaska, and in the airline industry as a ticket agent /flight attendant, and in the field of insurance as a licensed insurance producer/broker. Some of the long and short term substitute teaching positions included working in the Lower Yukon and Anchorage School District including summer school and outreach programs such as the Jesse Lee Home, the Whaley Center, the Benny Benson Program for Pregnant Teens, East High's School Within a School Program, to name a few. I have worked for the MSBSD for approximately 15 years.
