About Jani Lynch

I am a graduate of Cros-Lex, class of 1989. I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree (major: Mathematics, minor: Physics) with a Secondary Education Teaching Certificate from Eastern Michigan University in 1993. I substitute taught in Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, and Croswell. I was hired by Cros-Lex full-time as a high school math teacher in August of 1994. I earned my Master in the Art of Teaching Degree from Marygrove College in 1999. I took classes at the University of Toledo and particated in the SATELLITE program, where students and their teachers worked with a NASA scientist, Dr. Kevin Czajkowski to measure and verify the temperature of the earth's surface. I then took a couple of Microsoft Office classes at Baker College. Along with several other math teachers at Cros-Lex, I participated in the Algebra for All program, which has since become the PRIME program. Our goal is to learn methods and strategies to make Algebra and Geometry more accessible and relevant to the 21st Century mathematics student. Last summer, I completed the the on-line Moodle training, and now am certified to teach Moodle courses offered at Cros-Lex.

My teaching assignments at Cros-Lex have included General Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Algebra 2, Geometry, 21st Century Mathematics, Physics, Math Lab, Math Credit Recovery, and Math Guided Academics. I adore my students and love the challenges and rewards that come with helping guide them through high school.
