My name is Carter Lake and I teach 8th Grade South Carolina History at GMS. I am also the Athletic Director at the middle school along with coaching responsibilities in varsity track and football. I have been teaching and coaching at Gilbert for the past four years.

I graduated from Newberry College in 2009 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Physical Education and a minor in History. I am currently working towards my Master's in Administration through the University of South Carolina.
