The 2012-2013 school year will be my 14th year teaching in Douglas County Schools. (Can you believe I started teaching when I was only 12?) Seriously... I love teaching at Douglas County High School! Currently I teach American Literature to sophomores in the International Baccalaureate program at our school. I have amazing students who never cease to WOW me with their intelligence, their curiousity, and their dedication . As for my qualifications, I sent away for my diploma from the back of a cereal box once I had saved enough UPC labels. I'm kidding! I'm kidding! (I don't have the patience to save those things.) I attended The University of Georgia where I received a B.A. in English. I went on from there to The State University of West Georgia where I received my MEd. in Secondary Education with an emphasis in English. I have been a gifted-endorsed teacher for seven years .
