I am the Principal of Woodville High School in Adelaide South Australia and have a passion for conversations about teaching and learning. I have always benefitted from professional conversations and collaborations with colleagues in both early years, primary years and secondary years. Our latest professional collaboration is around inquiry/research pedagogies for the 21st century. In our local Bower cluster of schools, the leaders are investigating e possibility of a shared approach to skills of inquiry which facilitates transition of students across year 2/3, 4/5 and 7/8. I believe that a common language and approach best supports student learning - if the common approach is based on the best principles of contemporary teaching and learning.
