I am Mr. Patrick Martin. I’ve lived in Lexington for about 18years. I have been married for 20 years with a 15-year-old son and three dogs. I love teaching and I love teaching math. My original education was at Purdue University in Engineering and Design. I then worked in sales for a while before retuning to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Education at the University of Wisconsin. I am National Board Certified, have been certified by the College Board to teach Advanced Placement Calculus and Statistics, and am certified to “Train the Teacher” in the use of technology by Texas Instruments. In December I will graduate from ASU with a Masters of Science in Educational Leadership and Administration. You may see me boating, fishing, or skiing on Lake Murray. I am actively involved with scouting and I am an assistant scoutmaster in Troop 307. I keep active hiking, woodworking, and competing in martial arts (Taekwondo).

I see math in everything we do and it is central in many well paying careers.
