About Mr. Anthony Waara
I am a fifth grade teacher at Allen Elementary School. I did my undergraduate work both at Southwestern College and San Diego State University. I later obtained a bachelor's degree in liberal studies and my BCLAD credential from SDSU. I am presently working on a master's of science degree in education and instructional technology at National University. The master's program has been both challenging and rewarding.
I'm a passionate math and science teacher who loves teaching our young minds of today. My desire above all else would be for children to become so captivated and entralled about the world around them that their imagination would lead to new discoveries.
My latest endeavor is to expand my understanding of the many new emerging technologies and integrate them in the classroom. I believe it's paramount to address the overwhelming need for my students to possess 21st century skills. My professional goal is to create an environment where students collaborate, problem-solve, innovate and communicate using the newest technologies.
“I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.”
.
-Albert Einstein
