I am a graduate of Southern Arkansas University with a bachelor's degree in English and a minor in vocal music performance. I have been teaching for 18 years, 15 of those years here in Bossier Parish. I absolutely love teaching English because I am passionate about the importance of reading, writing, and thinking critically. Teaching is much more than a job to me. It is a joy and something I honestly feel I was born to do.

I am a National Board Certified Teacher, and I am honored to have been chosen Airline High School and Bossier Parish Teacher of the Year for 2012-2013.

I have been married for three years to my awesome husband Timothy, a retired Army Ranger who accepts and tolerates my nerdiness and insanity. My daughter Hannah is a freshman at the University of Arkansas. I also have three fur-kids, daschunds Argos and Oscar and black lab Louis.

I love watching football, and I root for the New Orleans Saints and the Arkansas Razorbacks (Woo Pig Sooie!). I also enjoy watching Formula One Racing.

My hobbies are traveling, cooking, watching good movies, and reading.
