About Gayle Berthiaume

I taught K-2, Title 1 and gifted clustered students for 35 years in Becker, Minnesota. I loved teaching in my classroom where the students kept me young and laughing. Daily my students learned to use technology and enjoyed using the class website, First Grade Online, for Internet inquiries, to display their work and to communicate with their parents.

For the past 18 years as a consultant and trainer, with a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction, I have been helping teachers throughout the nation learn about technology, the Internet and creative uses for them in the classroom. I enjoy presenting and collaborating with others.

As a consultant. I have worked for Apple Professional Development and for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Professional Development. I have been a Tech Tutor and a Grade 1-2 Teacher Mentor on Scholastic.com. I have served on Scholastic’s National Advisory Board, Apple Distinguished Educator National Advisory Board, the Apple Learning Interchange Editorial Review Board, and the International Reading Association's Technology, Communication and Literacy committee. I have also been a North America Chairperson for the Global Education Conference since 2010.
