About Mr. Ted Kirkbride
I believe that learning a skill is earned through motivation, interest, and focused attention. The learning will only become permanent through repeated, regular practice. I also believe in the A. B. C.'s. A is for accountability. We must be accountable to ourselves as to what we have learned or not learned and make an effort to close the gap between where we are in the learning and where we need to be. B is for balance. We must balance learning about the things we are interested in learning and learning about the things that we must learn in order to move forward in our education. Part of this balance is including physical activity, making healthy choices, having fun, and working hard in our daily routine. C is for collaboration. We all learn better and work more efficiently when we are sharing. We should learn from each others' mistakes so we make fewer or, as I like to look at it, we have more failures to learn from more quickly.
