I am in my third year of teaching, this will be my second in middle school. At CSMS, I teach Supplemental ELA. I enjoy watching my students work hard to reach their goals.

I grew up in Western New York (6 hours from NYC, so no strong accent here!). I attended State University of New York College at Brockport and earned a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Arts for Children (with a concentration in Theatre). After that, I enrolled in a Masters of Education program at Nazareth College in Rochester, NY and earned a degree in Inclusive Childhood Education. I moved to Spartanburg, SC in 2009 and worked as a Special Education assistant at Duncan Elementary School in Spartanburg School District Five. The following year, I taught resource to students in grades 1-4 at the same school. My husband's job moved us to Columbia area, and here I am now, working with wonderful teachers and students at CSMS.

I am excited to see familiar faces and look forward to meeting our new students! Here's to a great 2012-2013 school year!
