Dr. Ramona Medina, RN, BA, MPH, PhD. I am a Public Health Consultant, Program Manager, and Nurse & Allied Health Educator for National & International programs. I manage and evaluate public health programs, and teach the related courses, as well as nursing & allied health. I am also a Reiki Master, and study alternative & complimentary therapies & healing. I was the Director of Epidemiology for Pasco County Health Department, NPR, FL. where I developed the program from inception, and won the NACCO award. Then I was the AIDS Administrator for Westchester County Health Department in White Plains, New York, where I developed & managed the 1st AIDS Home Health Care Program, AIDS reporting system, and Community & Medical AIDS Seminars, and won the NACCO award. I was also the AIDS Patient Care Program & Clinic Manager for Hillsborough County Health Department, Tampa, FL. where I developed & managed the AIDS Patient Care program grant, AIDS Treatment dispensary and AIDS Indigent Clinic. Then I went to Africa where I spent 18 years in Central & North Africa (Zaire & Egypt), providing public health & nursing care, services & education and community development. I also worked on HIV-AIDS projects & Clinical Trials in Kinshasa Zaire (DRC) and Egypt, and I did a special AIDS project in Dubai, UAE too. I was a Public Health Consultant for a Colorectal Cancer project, a part of "PARADIGMA" (Participatory Approach to Disease Global Management), on a EURO-Mediterranean Community grant with 8 countries. I was also a Public Health Consultant for the Faculty of Medicine for Menoufyia University, Cairo, Egypt, and worked with several scientists in Egypt for many years. I enjoy reading & research, traveling and learning about different cultures, music and international movies, especially Bollywood, and studying about the earth & climate changes.
