I am Diana Thomas Carr and I have grown up in the East Columbia area. I graduated from Lower Richland High School in 1974 and then from Columbia College, and got my Masters of Librarianship from USC, (plus 30 hours in Technology). I have been married for 35 years to my husband, Wesley, who is retired from Westinghouse and we have 2 daughters, Ashley, a legal assistant at Murphy and Grantland and Blair, a hair stylist, at Shear Xpectations, 2 wonderful son-in-laws and 2 handsome grandsons. My parents are Reverend and Mrs. J. Glenn Anderson of Columbia. My interests include family, reading, shag dancing and Elton John. For 26 years I was a librarian/media specialist/information technology specialist in Richland District #1, 24 of them at Mill Creek Elementary. (In addition I was a Technology Integration Specialist for Lexington #1 for 3 years.) I have been the Library Media Consultant for Richland One for the past 5 years.
